Kevin Corcoran works with sound in contexts of music, art, and place with an approach to audio fieldwork that is part documentation and part intervention. His practice emphasizes walking in, listening with, and amplifying locations where relationships emerge between infrastructure and open space, land use and abandonment, presence and memory. He makes work for fixed media, installation, and performance alongside research in sound studies, media ecologies, and environmental humanities. Kevin holds an MFA in Environmental Art and Social Practice from UC Santa Cruz where he is currently working on a PhD in Film & Digital Media, and as a graduate research fellow with UC CAAN.
